About Alex

I used to shoot families. Then I found a gap.

I started Life Journey Photography in 2008 as a family photographer. During family sessions, people kept telling me the same thing. Their work headshot was old, or bad, or both.

So I made the switch. Iowa Business Headshots grew out of that gap. I've now photographed hundreds of Des Moines professionals, from solo realtors updating a LinkedIn photo to HR teams booking me for the whole office in one visit.

Where is the studio?

The studio is at 4910 Urbandale Ave, Suite 203b, Des Moines, IA 50310, in the Beaverdale and Merle Hay area of northwest Des Moines. Parking is free on site.

Do you shoot teams, or just individuals?

Both. Studio sessions for one person start at $169. For teams, I bring a full studio setup to your office. Rates run from $199 for one person down to $110 per person for groups of 11 or more. See full pricing or request a team quote.

How long does a session take?
